Message:

In 1925 Thomas Lister said the success of the Legion was the fact that we attract people who outside their daily pursuits are determined to place the Legion foremost in their thoughts. This holds good today as it did 82 years ago.  

We are a caring organisation; our membership is meaningful and fun in social terms; we must continue to uphold traditional values and standards of behaviour; we must encourage greater freedom, initiative and teamwork within our policies and procedures; we should ensure that all our members feel encouraged and appreciated and above all we must communicate with each other better at all levels. Reducing bureaucracy within our organisation must be a top priority.
