CHRISTMAS CAKE DECORATING
 

Margaret Moore taught the group to ice and decorate their Christmas cakes.  The process was made really easy with a step-by-step demonstration followed by the opportunity, under Margaret’s guidance, to roll out the marzipan and sugar paste, and apply it to the cake.

 

The results were very professional-looking Christmas cakes, with appropriate ribbons, Christmas trees and rather cute hand-made snowmen gracing the top.  The whole experience was a lot of fun.

 

The group was also shown how to make icing and marzipan dainties to serve at Christmas using the left-overs of icing and marzipan.
